CLS is very proud to continue to manage LRIT communications for the European LRIT Data Center managed by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
CLS, environmental monitoring and maritime security services provider, has provided long-range identification and tracking (LRIT) ASP (Application Service Provider) opérations to the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
CLS will continue to manage LRIT communications for the majority of the EMSA’s registered vessels, amounting to 10,000 by the end of 2013. The EMSA is responsible for the management of LRIT data on behalf of the 28 European Union member states as well as Iceland and Norway. “We will go on working in close cooperation with EMSA to develop further the capabilities of the EU LRIT system” said Philippe Gros, LRIT Sales Manager at CLS.
CLS has chosen to complete the development of an LRIT data center, which processes the report information according to IMO standards and delivers it to the relevant flag authority.
