The Paris Air Show 2017 “Salon du Bourget” is a privileged moment to describe the new activities and the potential offered by space solutions. In the current context of digital transition, space applications are present in our daily lives. CLS, a subsidiary of the French Agency CNES, will be present throughout this event to present its services and applications
Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 3:00 pm , CLS will participate in the conference “Space supports economic development, what are the challenges? “ On the CNES pavilion. CLS deploys innovative services based on satellite and drones technologies to support maritime authorities in their surveillance. These decision-making solutions are assets for the conduct of safety at sea and environmental protection missions.
On Tuesday, 20 June, at 4:30 pm , at the CNES pavilion, CLS will participate in a round table discussion on the issue of migratory flows. Gaetan Fabritius, responsible for maritime safety at CLS, will intervene on the solutions set up to accompany the European FRONTEX agency in the detection of ships of migrants in distress.
Some twenty French companies specializing in space applications, including CLS, will follow each other during the week and will present their know-how at the Comptoir du Développement on the CNES pavilion.
On Wednesday 21 June at 10.30 am, Mr. Jean-Yves LE GALL, President of CNES, and Christophe VASSAL, CEO of CLS, will officially launch the Argos forNext Generations program .
On Thursday 22nd June, Vincent Kerbaol, satellite imagery and drones manager at CLS, will speak at the workshop “Meeting Drones and satellites: competition or complementarity”. It is the opportunity to show case of applications handled by CLS environmental monitoring, maritime surveillance or even sustainable fisheries management misisons. There is a strong complementarity between the two systems.
